Its a PiNkaLiCiOuS Partay for Jaquelle!!

I had all the girls (and Seth) color their cupcakes on shrinky dink paper to make them into necklaces.

Basically you take the shrinky dink plastic color it and cut it in the shape you want and put it in the oven for 4 min and it shrinks and thickens into a nice plastic charm.... perfect for our necklaces!

So here we are watching our necklaces shrink in the oven
I made the girls all glow and the dark stick wands with stars at the end (like in the book) that I found at the dollar store.  I tied them with ribbon and hid them in the dark basement.  Each girl had to find their glow in the dark wand with their name on it.  It was super fun.  I tried to take pictures but my camera stinks in the dark.

Then of course we had pink cupcakes and icecream.  They all wanted to try the carbonated pink lemonade I bought too, but every single one of them didn't like it and begged for water.  :)

The Hulks! Seth's 3rd year of soccer

With coaches Sam and Mandy El'halta
Have I mentioned how incredibly fun soccer was this year?  For the first time Seth and his teammates were passing and working as a team.  It wasn't just bunch ball.  And Seth, man, he came out of nowhere and was awesome! The kid really was good.  And he just LOVED it! He averaged 2-3 goals a game and towards the end of the season, he realized how fast he was and discovered how much he loved playing defense too.  Even on fast breaks when everyone was down by the other goal, Seth could out run almost everyone and catch up to the kid on the fast break, steal the ball from him and then turn the ball up the field.  It was awesome!  One time he even slide kicked a ball right on the goal line to prevent it from going in. Incredible!
He even made some new friends which is good for Seth because I swear all his friends are girls!  Chandler was his favorite and they both were very good together.  Chandler was quite the dribbler and could score equally as well.  It was fun for both of them to play together.  We'll miss this team.  They were a lot of fun!  Next we're going to try spring ball and Jaq is going to play too!

September this and that!

I just love this picture.  She wasn't really asleep but she was being so sweet with him that I had to take the picture.  Jaq has been very loving to Collin.  I need to remember to be positive about their relationship and how she helps out because she can really be such a great help.

Jaq had her first day of Joy School the same time Seth went to Kindergarten so we decided to make her a giant cookie too.

She of  course ate it all day long.
This picture cracks me up.  I 'm pretty sure he took this of himself.

More bath time pics.....finally chunking up a bit!

Seth got sick again and his wheezy breathing came back. Which is weird cause its been a couple of years since we've had to pull out the nebulizer.  But here he is playing Star Wars Legos on the computer while getting a treatment.

Here are some fun pictures of Collin in some cute shoes as we were heading out for a walk.

This is cute, but I think he looks like a bug or an alien. Its okay Im his mom, I can say that.

Seth's FIRST day of KINDERGARTEN!!

I cant believe it but, Seth is finally in Kindergarten!!  Technically he could have gone last year but I think my decision to keep him one extra year was a good one.  He is now the oldest and definitely ready for this year at school.

I decided to ask write down how his first day went as he told it to me so here it is.
Least favorite part was recess because it was “too loud” - (I found out later that this was his excuse because his 2 little girl friends ran off and he couldn't find them. He said at recess time everyone just runs to the swing set but he wanted to walk and so he lost everyone. He then spent the whole recess crying by a tree.  I asked him why he didn't go ask a teacher for help but I guess the teacher told the kids they couldn't just hang around the teacher at recess, I'm assuming so the kids would go out and play and make friends, but Seth thought it was an absolute rule and so he didn't want to even go near his teacher for fear of breaking a rule. So he sat by a tree all lonely and cried.  SO sad huh?  (I had to explain that the teacher probably just wanted everyone to go play but that if he needed help, he could ask the teacher to help him find his friends)  --this took some time but eventually his best friend Madi agreed to wait for him to go to recess in the future, even though she wanted to "run" to the playground and Seth just wanted to "walk."  Silly kid.
He did however see Jaxon from soccer and Conner b and savannah from preschool at recess
He discovered that there was another kid allergic to peanuts that sits at his table but cant remember his name
He read a book about a toad and a frog that ate tons of cookies
He thinks his teacher is nice
He thinks going on the rug is "lame" because all you do is talk and read stories
He brought home play-dough that changed colors
He said the whole time he was thirsty but didn't get a drink
And out of good, ok, and bad it was just an “medium” day

Madi, McKinnley (his two best friends) and thank heavens they are in his class!! and Seth in front of the Enoch Tiger

Madi and Seth (all three of them sit at the same table even)  What are the odds?
I knew something was off when I saw him here.  Of course he was being tough and I had to dig out every detail of his day, but overall he had a rough start, but tomorrow will be better.
And the biggest incentive for the first day of school is the giant cookie tradition waiting for him at home.

A blessing!

On September 2, 2012 Collin Brady was blessed by his dad.  It was so nice. Both Grandma Morris and I tried to write down parts of his blessing so I'll try to relay some of that here. I thought it would be fun to have a record of it, if I can read either one of our notes! :)

Collins blessing:
Special blessing of health
Body to develop and to perform its proper functions
You may be an influence of good
Have a strong testimony
Gain a close relationship with the Savior
Strong faith
When temptations and trials come you will seek out the Lord for comfort
The ability to influence others as a friend, a brother, and an example
Desire to receive all ordinances and covenants in this life and return to live with Heavenly Father
Live your entire life as a missionary and an example so others will want to come unto Christ

Okay, I mostly love blessing outfits, but this one just makes him look like an Oompa Loompa baby, no?

Both sets of grandparents were here and Aunt Lisa and Uncle Cameron and their family came down with their family and of course Neal and Brittlyn all joined us for a luncheon afterwards.
