Park City Trip!

Birthday hug from my little sis. Tallie.  (31!!)
Here I am on my 31st birthday!

Cordelle got invited to go up to Park City for a retreat from Safeco insurance now that he is over personal lines marketing for The Leavitt Group.  And since Safeco is a personal lines only insurance carrier, somehow Cordelle got to be in on the schmoose mobile where they pretty much wine and dine their highest sellers.  (A perk without the work).
Here were the heated pools that we never did get into (what were we thinking?) They just looked cool with all the steam coming off since it was freezing outside!
 Deer Valley Resort
Even in February it still looks like Christmas.

One night, we got bored and didn't want to hang out with all the other high sellers so we went and found Liberty Mutual was also having a big bash in another part of the hotel, only they had a rockin 80's band and this whole "Fire and Ice" theme.  So we took it upon ourselves to take some pics with all their props.
 ....and lick their ice sculptures....

...and then the next day we went to the Olympic Park and got to go down the Olympic BOBSLEDS!!

I'm in the light blue in the middle.
 AHH!!

This was fast. Super fast. I can't remember how fast but I remember not being able to move my head because of the G-Force impact was a 2 or 3? (I dont remember what that means or if it was really a 2 or 3).  It was ridiculous.  Kind of made me loopy.  Which is why Cordelle decided not to do it, which was a really good idea for him.
 Olympic Bobsled track.
 K.  This was just a crazy post bobsled selfie, but my favorite part about this pic is the creeper in between us.  That face says so much!
More pics of the resort and our room (which we found out is a handicapped room...we just thought we were living the high life with an enormous bathroom.)

Ski day.  So we had the opportunity to get a back massage or to ski/snowboard.  So we were like what the heck?  We'll ski.  I have never skiied before. And so I thought, "I'm fairly athletic, I'll catch on."  Well let's just say, this was one of the worst days of my life.  I sucked at skiing!  I just could not catch on.  Cordelle tried and tried to teach me how to stop and slow down and it was not working.  After taking half a day to get down a easy level slope, I decided I was through.  But after lunch and a couple of you tube video's later, I discovered that after all this time I was not pushing out hard and wide enough to slow or stop myself and that's why I was crashing so hard. But by then, my muscles were shot and I couldn't move but alas, I tried again....on the bunny hill.  And finally did it 4 times without crashing!!!  It was a huge feat to a miserable day. Will I ever go again? I really don't know.   I should have taken lessons first or A lesson....no, I should have got that massage.

...or I should have just sat by their enormous fire all day and read a book.  Now that's my kind of vacation.

And then this is random but....
....in memory of all the olympic jazz I made this guy! And sent him to a friend in the mail.  Isn't he great!  He turned out perfectly!
