November this and that.

Yup, we take random crazy pictures of ourselves.  Often.

Seth brought this home from school.  Glad somethings in life never change.

Comfy socks, and comfy slippers.  Can't beat that.

Cordelle and I after his work's annual 5K race.  I finished in 21:31 and won ourselves a turkey and some new shoes. (Ironically I got to pick first at a slew of prizes that ranged from like $50-100, but I picked the shoes cause I needed some only to find out they bought them on clearance!  And I could barely exchange them for anything!  Haha! More funny than disappointed. Bad draw I guess. :)  I really am not as bratty as that all sounded. I am very grateful for the prizes.:) Cordelle came in at 23 min.

Over Thanksgiving weekend Cordelle's brother had an open house for his oldest son Michael.  Somehow this is the only picture I have of the entire night.  I failed big time.  Cordelle's entire family was there.  All the brothers, wives, and kids.  It was really fun and Michael's new bride was a doll.  So fun to see everyone.

Jaq was introduced to a new friend on Thanksgiving. Since we had Thanksgiving with a few of my Mason cousins I was able to introduce Jaquelle to my cousin Michael's daughter, Sidney, who was a doll.  They had fun together. But again, major failure on the picture front. Seth had a great time with Matthew's son Carter.  And it was fun to see all our kids playing together and how crazy it is, cause it used to be us playing like that at Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving was at Tallie's house this year and so we stayed over there for a few nights to help her get ready.  It was really just us and Marlin's family this year, but it still seemed like a lot of people!  Later that weekend my mom had a grannies sleep over and kept all the grand kids (even Collin) for a fun movie and sleep over. I think everyone stayed up till 10:30 which might as well be 4AM at our house.  I can't believe they survived it.  ("They" being my parents)  My kids loved it and it was a fun break for us!  So cool of my mom to keep all 8 grand kids (well except for baby Beckham). My mom is the best!  And my kids love her and my dad SO much!

These two spend a lot of time together.  This one just happened to be a time when they were spending it....nicely.

Time Out for Women in St. George

This weekend I was able to spend a fun couple days with My mom and sisters...and her mom and sisters....and some cousins!  (missed Krista and Ensci and lots of other aunts and cousins) but had a great time listening to awesome speakers and feeling lifted HIGHER! Thanks Cordelle for the weekend with the kids so I could go.  Love the awesome women in my life!

Snow Canyon half marathon and Tuff Kids Run.

Well I did it!  I finally ran another half marathon.  I think it had been 4 years?  I just totally have not had the motivation to do one.  Then I started running alone a few weeks before and I really just felt good, and I knew I could finally do another race.  So I signed the whole family up (well the older kids and I).  And I was SO nervous.  I knew this was a really down hill race so I knew I'd have pressure (all from myself) to do well.  And I really wanted to keep it around a 8 min. mile.  And the first 7 miles I totally did it.  Matter of fact 5 miles were under 7:30 and 2 of my miles were under 7:00 min/miles.  But then I do what I always do and start off too fast and then I cant sustain it.  But I knew that going in, and knew I could at least keep it under 9-10 min/miles for the last 5 miles.  Anyways I finished in 1:44 which was a minute faster than my GOAL!  So I was so excited!!

Then we had Seth run the mile (which actually ended up being almost 2 cause they didn't mark off the turn around point) and Jaq ran the half mile (even though when we went out "practicing" she totally rocked running NON-STOP for a mile!!) Anyways this was their first race and I was so proud of them.  Seth didn't like it so much (probably cause the longer course was unexpected) but Jaq loved it!  And they both got medals and chocolate milk at the end which, lets be honest, was the reward they looked forward to the most.
Our good friends the Frisby's were running the race too.  It was nice to know someone on the bus (JD, Melissa's mom and sister) and it was fun for the kids to run with their friends.  Here is Jaquelle and Madi
Wyatt and Seth

Look at that stride!

I love how big his race shirt was on him.

Jaq is the only one who didn't want to wear her race shirt, but they were huge, even for kids sizes.

Oh yea, and we found Hayden Kelsey from our ward so we snapped a pic with him too!
